Privacy Policy
The short answer
We collect only what you send us and what our host records automatically. We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email info@talegalgroup.com and we will respond.
Effective date: August 26, 2026
TA Legal Group PLLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit this website or contact us about legal services.
What information do we collect?
We collect two kinds of information: what you give us, and what is recorded automatically when your browser loads a page.
Information you give us
Your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and anything else you choose to write when you submit a form on this site, call us, or email us. If you describe your situation to us on the contact page, that description is part of what we hold.
Information collected automatically
Our servers and hosting provider log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, access times, and the pages you viewed. This is used to keep the site running and to understand which pages are useful.
Payment information
We do not collect payment or financial information through this website. Any financial information needed for legal services is collected directly through separate, secure channels after you become a client.
How do we use your information?
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we can help with your matter
- Provide legal services once an attorney-client relationship is formed
- Send you communications about our services, where you have asked to receive them
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve it
- Comply with our legal, ethical, and professional obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
Do you sell or share my information?
No. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only in these situations:
- Service providers. Vendors that operate the site or support the firm (hosting, email delivery, form processing, analytics, document storage) may process your information on our behalf, and only for that purpose.
- Legal requirements. Where disclosure is required by law, court order, subpoena, or applicable rules of professional conduct, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
- With your consent. For any other purpose you agree to.
What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and the right to opt out of marketing communications. Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and a growing list of others) have some or all of these rights by statute. We extend the following to anyone who asks, regardless of where you live:
- Access. Ask us what personal information we hold about you and how we obtained it.
- Correction. Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete information we hold about you.
- Portability. Ask for a copy of the information you gave us in a usable format.
- Opt out. Ask us to stop sending you marketing email, or to stop using analytics or advertising cookies in your browser.
- No retaliation. We will not treat you differently, or refuse to evaluate your case, because you exercised a privacy right.
How do I make a request?
Email info@talegalgroup.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, or call 631.498.7984. Tell us what you want us to do. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will not disclose personal information to someone we cannot verify. We aim to respond within 45 days.
Are there limits on deletion?
Yes. Some records cannot be deleted on request. Client files and conflict-check records are subject to attorney recordkeeping duties and litigation-hold obligations, and information we need to comply with law or to establish or defend a legal claim will be retained for as long as those obligations last. Where we decline a deletion request, we will tell you why.
How is your information kept secure?
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No security measure is perfect, and no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed against interception. Do not send confidential or sensitive details through this website before we have a signed engagement agreement. See our Terms of Service and Disclaimer for what that means for privilege.
How long do you keep information?
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to evaluate and respond to your matter, and client files for the period required by our professional and legal obligations. Server logs are retained on our host’s ordinary schedule.
What about cookies and tracking?
This site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning and to measure aggregate traffic. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or warn you before one is set. Turning off cookies may affect how parts of the site work. Some browsers also send a Global Privacy Control signal; where we are required to honor it, we treat it as an opt-out request.
What about links to other sites?
This site links to third-party websites, including courts, agencies, and statutes. Once you follow a link away from this site, anything you provide is governed by that site’s privacy policy, not this one.
Do you collect information from children?
No. We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Will this policy change?
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Review it periodically.
