Accessibility Statement
The short answer
We are working toward Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across this website. We have not completed a full third-party audit, so we do not claim full conformance. If something on this site blocks you, email info@talegalgroup.com or call 631.498.7984 and we will fix it or give you the information another way.

What is our commitment?
TA Legal Group PLLC is committed to making this website usable by people with disabilities. People who need our help are often already dealing with a job loss, a medical condition, or a hostile workplace. A site they cannot use is a site that fails them.
What is our conformance status?
Partially conformant, working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is our target standard. “Partially conformant” means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet. We have not completed an independent audit of every page, so we do not claim full conformance and we will not until an audit supports it.
What have we done so far?
These practices are built into how the site is constructed and reviewed:
- Semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading order on every page
- A “skip to main content” link as the first focusable element
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form controls
- Text alternatives for images that carry meaning
- Color contrast reviewed against the WCAG AA thresholds for body text
- Form fields with associated labels and error messages in text, not color alone
- Responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling on small screens
- Content that remains readable and usable when text is enlarged
What are the known limitations?
We are aware of the following gaps and are working on them:
- Keyboard operation has not been verified on every interactive component. The navigation menus and forms are the current focus of that work.
- Some older PDFs and documents linked from this site were produced by third parties and may not be tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will supply an accessible version.
- Content embedded from third-party services (maps, video players, review widgets) is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
- No formal audit report exists yet. Until one does, treat this statement as our good-faith assessment rather than a certification.
What assistive technology do we test against?
We aim to support current versions of common screen readers, including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver, along with screen magnification, speech recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation, on current versions of major browsers. Testing coverage is not exhaustive, and reports from real users are the most useful information we get.
How do you report an accessibility problem?
Tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what browser or assistive technology you were using, if you know. Any level of detail helps.

Can we give you the information another way?
Yes. If any content on this site is not accessible to you, we will provide it in another format: by phone, by email, in large print, or in person at our Huntington office. You do not need to explain why. Reach us through the contact page or by phone, and we can walk you through any practice area information you need.
How is this statement kept current?
We review this statement when the site changes materially, and at least annually. It is a description of where the site actually stands, not a marketing document, and it will be updated as limitations are closed or new ones are found. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
